The bride’s money bag is typically used during the Money or Wine Dance for the guests to place money in to dance with the bride. Sometimes dollar bills are pinned on the bride’s gown, but the Money Bag (or Bridal Purse) is used if there is not a proper place to pin the money or to avoid damaging the wedding dress.
